Résumé | Dr. Todd Duhamel is a Professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management. He completed PhD training in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo and postdoctoral training in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Manitoba.
His research examines the role of physical activity for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. That research has been continuously supported by agencies such as the CIHR, NSERC and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. He has successfully secured more than $2.56 million for research as a Principal Investigator and $5.57 million for collaborative research as a Co-Investigator. Dr. Duhamel has published 1 smartphone application, 2 research reports, 3 book chapters, 2 commentaries and more than 70 peer-reviewed articles. The Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology recognized Dr. Duhamel with its Young Investigator Award in 2017.
